The transition from seed to sprout and eventually a plant ready for the transition to the great outdoors is a journey fraught with challenges. Therefore, our workshop will delve into the critical steps of deciphering seed packet instructions, soil and depth, and humidity and watering, ensuring that each participant is well-equipped to handle this delicate stage with confidence. Moreover, we will address common issues that often dismay the novice gardener, demystifying problems like damping off, legginess, and the perplexing question of when and how to transition your babies to the great outdoors, ensuring that participants are not just starting seeds, but nurturing future gardens.
To ensure a hands-on, immersive experience, all materials and tools necessary for planting will be provided. Each participant will leave not just with newfound knowledge and skills but with tangible starters for their gardening journey—2 dome planters with a selection of herbs, vegetable seeds, or flower seeds which they have started under our expert guidance.
